National Spare Parts Manager
Melbourne, VIC

A well-established and rapidly growing provider of specialised maintenance equipment and support solutions across the Rail, Aviation and Industrial sectors is seeking an experienced and hands-on National Spare Parts Manager to lead the next phase of growth within its Parts division.

With significant national expansion underway - including growing service operations in Brisbane and Sydney, followed by Perth and Adelaide - this is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with genuine national responsibility.

You will oversee the provisioning and supply of spare parts to workshops, mobile service teams, end users and third-party maintenance providers across Australia.

We are looking for someone who combines operational leadership with a practical, team-first mindset - someone willing to roll up their sleeves when needed and actively support the day-to-day operation, rather than simply managing from a distance.

The Opportunity Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the national spare parts function and help scale the business to support a growing customer footprint and expanding service capability across Australia.
You will play a key role in ensuring the business delivers industry-leading support, responsiveness and inventory management during a major growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage national spare parts operations
• Oversee parts provisioning to workshops, field service vans and customer sites
• Drive inventory planning, stock control and procurement strategies
• Improve parts availability, turnaround times and operational efficiency
• Support the rollout of new service operations nationally
• Work closely with Service, Operations and Technical teams
• Build strong supplier and customer relationships
• Mentor and support internal parts personnel across multiple locations
• Maintain a hands-on presence within the operation when required

About You

• Proven experience managing spare parts operations within heavy equipment, transport, rail, aviation, industrial machinery or related industries
• Strong understanding of workshop and field service environments
• Experience supporting mobile service fleets and multi-site operations
• Excellent inventory, logistics and supply chain management capability
• A practical and collaborative leadership style
• Strong commercial awareness and customer focus
• ERP or inventory management system experience
