  • Nationally Operated Organisation / Multi-Site Support
  • 12+ Month Fixed Term - Parental Leave Cover
  • Location - Western Suburbs of Melbourne (20 mins from CBD)
We’re seeking an experienced and confident Senior HR Advisor / Manager to step into a pivotal 12-month parental leave contract, supporting the HR function of a well-established and growing business with operations across Australia.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is motivated by keeping HR operations smooth, compliant, and consistent.

Based at the head office in Melbourne’s western suburbs, you’ll be the go-to person for HR support across a multi-site workforce, covering everything from employee relations to end-to-end recruitment and payroll processing. You’ll work closely with managers and employees, providing clear, practical advice aligned with Australian employment legislation and existing company policies.

While this role won’t require strategic HR development or systems rollouts, your work will be critical in ensuring the business continues to operate with professionalism, compliance, and care during the parental leave period. You’ll have the support of the broader operational team and access to established systems and processes, with the autonomy to manage day-to-day HR matters with confidence.

What you’ll bring:
  • Solid experience in generalist or advisory HR roles
  • Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and relevant industry awards
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, and payroll administration
  • Confident communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to compliance and documentation
This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a high-functioning HR team without the pressure of strategic transformation or policy overhaul. If you’re looking for a contract role where your operational expertise will truly be valued, we’d love to hear from you.
